Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan had a huge fanbase even before he took a political plunge in Andhra Pradesh. His popularity grew manifold after he assumed charge of the state’s Deputy Chief Minister in June 2024.
Rajeshwari, a woman from Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool, has just added to Kalyan’s popularity among the masses. The lady had embarked on a journey from Adoni in Kurnool district to Mangalagiri in Guntur in the hope of meeting the Deputy Chief Minister, after covering a 487-kilometre ride on her bicycle.
The Jana Sena Veera Mahila, the women’s wing of Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena Party, shared Rajeshwari’s inspiring story on social media platform X.
“A 487 km cycle ride from Adoni to Mangalagiri Janasena Party Head Office. Rajeshwari, a brave woman from Kurnool, is traveling on a bicycle with endless enthusiasm to meet the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the Janasena Party leader @PawanKalyan,” the X post written in Telugu by Janasena’s women’s wing said on Sunday.
The JSVM also shared a video of the woman along with the post, in which she can be seen with her bicycle, with a poster of Pawan Kalyan mounted on its handle.
Minutes after JSVM posted Rajeshwari’s video and her story, Pawan Kalyan took a note of it and shared the post, asking his party workers to accord a grand welcome to the woman when she arrived at Janasena Party headquarters in Mangalagiri.
“@JanaSenaParty Please welcome her with garlands when (she) reaches Party headquarters. And make sure cadre and leaders support her on the way,” Pawan Kalyan posted from his official X handle.
Pawan Kalyan became the 10th Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 12, after his party won 21 out of the 175 seats in state polls earlier this year. The Jana Sena Party is in a coalition government with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP), who bagged 135 seats in the elections.
